The study investigates the effectiveness of guided and free oral presentations in enhancing the speaking skills of Iranian EFL learners. Results indicated that participants who engaged in guided oral presentations significantly outperformed those in the free presentation group. The findings suggest that EFL teachers should incorporate guided oral presentations to improve speaking proficiency among pre-intermediate learners.
