What is Robert about?

Robert was a steward who found fulfillment working for a young bachelor doctor and his wife. However, when they arrived with a dog named Bingo that was pampered and better cared for than Robert and his family, he grew envious and resentful. When the couple went on vacation and left Robert to care for the dog, he untethered Bingo and took all of its food, leaving the dog to die. Robert quit his job, unable to continue caring for an animal that lived better than he and his family did.
