This document describes an experiment to determine the coefficient of discharge of an orifice meter. The experiment involved measuring the volumetric flow rate and pressure difference across an orifice for different valve positions. Observations of the pressure difference and flow rate were recorded in a table. The coefficient of discharge was then calculated using the orifice equation and values between 0.1901 to 0.2145 were obtained, showing that the coefficient is always less than 1.
