What is FOPID Control for DC-DC Boost Converter about?

This paper presents the design and analysis of a fractional order PID controller for a DC-DC two-level boost converter using the Nelder-Mead optimization algorithm. It develops a mathematical model based on the state-space averaged method and compares the performance of the proposed FOPID controller with a fuzzy logic controller through simulations in MATLAB-Simulink. The results indicate that the FOPID controller provides more accurate and faster dynamic responses than the fuzzy logic controller.
