This study investigates the production of bioethanol from the red seaweed Gelidium amansii (GA) using an autoclaving treatment to enhance glucose yield. Autoclaving GA for 60 minutes improved ethanol conversion yield, achieving 84.9% with simultaneous saccharification and fermentation (SSF), which outperformed separate hydrolysis and fermentation (SHF). The findings suggest that autoclaving is an effective method for increasing the efficiency of bioethanol production from GA.
