What is Badr City: Challenges of a Planned City about?

Badr City was established in 1982 in Cairo governorate to address overpopulation and develop underutilized desert areas. However, it failed to achieve these goals as only a small number of factories were built, which did not provide enough jobs to employ people from overpopulated areas. Badr City also suffers from poor and insufficient public services like education and healthcare that prevent it from being properly inhabited.
