About this document
Aflatoxin Detection in Medicinal Plants by EVHA is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study aimed to detect levels of aflatoxins (B1, B2, G1, G2) in three medicinal plants - Mucuna pruriens, Delphinium denudatum, and Portulaca oleraceae. The researchers developed a method using HPLC-MS/MS to extract and analyze aflatoxins. Trace amounts of AFB1 and AFB2 were found in M. pruriens, while D. denudatum showed no detectable levels. P. oleraceae was contaminated with AFB1 and AFB2. AFG1 and AFG2 were not detected in any of the plants. Low fungal growth correlated with the low aflat
