Can I read A homolog of the Arabidopsis thaliana ERS gene is actively regulated in Rumex palustris upon flooding on EtoBox?
A homolog of the Arabidopsis thaliana ERS gene is actively regulated in Rumex palustris upon flooding by Wim H. Vriezen; Cynthia P.E. van Rijn; Laurentius A.C.J. Voesenek; Celestina Mariani is a Agricultural and Biological Sciences article available to read on EtoBox.
What is A homolog of the Arabidopsis thaliana ERS gene is actively regulated in Rumex palustris upon flooding about?
A cDNA homologous to the ethylene‐response sensors (ERS/ETR1) from __Arabidopsis thaliana__ was isolated from a __Rumex palustris__ cDNA library. This cDNA, RP‐ERS1, was 2421 bp long and shared 66% nucleotide homology with ETR1 and ERS in their coding regions. The transcript level of __RP‐ERS1__ was actively regulated during the leaf‐elongation response of __R. palustris__ upon flooding. __RP‐ERS1__ transcript levels increased after submergence, and also after exposure to high concentrations of ethylene and carbon dioxide and low concentrations of oxygen. These results suggest that __R. palustris__ plants may respond to flooding stress by increasing the number of their ethylene receptors.
