The NCTE has not prescribed any formal qualifications for the post of PGT Computer Science, as confirmed in a letter dated 12-11-2014. A recent relaxation of the B.Ed. requirement was granted as an exceptional administrative measure, not as a formal rule, to prevent eligible candidates from being disqualified. The High Court has stated that only candidates meeting NCTE qualifications are eligible, but since no qualifications exist, the matter remains ambiguous and may require judicial clarification.
