What is Open Access Trends in Personality Research about?
This study analyzes the trends and dynamics of open access (OA) practices in personality psychology research, examining 57,296 articles indexed in the Scopus database. The findings reveal a modest increase in OA articles since 2012, particularly in gold OA, while non-OA articles are categorized into five main clusters. The research highlights the central role of Western authors in personality research and suggests that financial constraints do not hinder the ability to make impactful research open access.
