What is Editorial note about?
retired as Associate Editor of Entomologia Experimentalis et Applicata (EEA). He supported the journal in this position for 4 years. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Mayhew for his dedicated and competent work for EEA. Over the years he has dealt with numerous manuscripts on, among others, life-history evolution, evolutionary and behavioural ecology, and herbivory of insects. Furthermore, it is a great pleasure to announce that Dr. Jetske de Boer (Netherlands Institute of Ecology, Wageningen, The Netherlands) has agreed to serve the journal as an Associate Editor as of 1 January 2019. Dr. de Boer is an expert on insect chemical ecology and behaviour, as well as on biological control. As of 1 January 2019, Dr. Kostas Bourtzis (International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna, Austria) resigned from the Editorial Board. I would like to thank him for his active support of the journal, specifically for being instrumental in composing some recent special issues.
