What is An Insight Into Applications of Deep Learning in Neuroimaging about?

Deep learning (DL) has been widely used for clinical applications like neuroimaging. Clinical applications based on DL have been studied for the analysis of neuroimaging such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and positron emission tomography (PET). DL techniques perform well when compared with traditional methods. Many innovative DL models have been applied for the analysis of neuroimaging. This chapter augments the existing literature on DL techniques applied to neuroimaging. It presents and describes various DL models and DL-based automatic diagnosis approaches for neurological disorders. It also discusses challenges in applying DL techniques to neuroimaging as well as future directions in this domain.
