About this document
Boiler Blowdown and Heat Recovery Guide by Rury Mardiana is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Boiler blowdown serves two purposes: 1) To control total dissolved solids concentration and 2) To remove suspended solids. Continuous blowdown from near the low water level is ideal for recovering up to 80% of heat content and 10-20% of water through flash steam condensation. Bottom blowdown should be intermittent to remove solids. Heat recovery systems can recover a large proportion of blowdown heat and water through flash steam extraction and heat exchange, providing significant savings even for medium bo
