This study analyzed epidemiological data on visceral leishmaniasis (VL) in Rondonópolis, Brazil between 2011-2016. It found 81 reported autochthonous VL cases with decreasing incidence over time but fluctuating lethality peaking at 20% in 2016. Almost 10% had VL/HIV coinfection. Most cases were male, brown-skinned, urban residents aged 0-4. Lower age differentiated total from coinfected or deceased cases.
