Can I read Cain’s Fratricide on EtoBox?

Cain’s Fratricide by Robert C. Gregg is a book available to read on EtoBox.

What is Cain’s Fratricide about?

Genesis 4's account of Cain's killing of his brother leaves many questions unanswered. A folio in the late sixth-century Christian book, the Ashburnham Pentateuch, depicts the events in the story using elements thought to derive from Jewish interpretations, prompting the theoretical puzzle of how differently Jews and Christians might have understood this painted page. The Jewish Targum Pseudo-Jonathan, and the collection of rabbinic teachings, Genesis Rabbah are attentive to the incompletely explained: Why did the brothers bring offerings to God, and what was unacceptable about Cain's? What impelled him to kill Abel? Why did God not punish Cain immediately, and what was the protective "mark" God placed on him? How did the killing of Cain occur? Motivations of the brothers and of God, along with the role of Satan, undergo scrutiny and debate.
