What is Steven Andrew Culpepper: Psychometrika about?

This paper presents an exploratory diagnostic model (DM) for ordinal responses with binary attributes, addressing the limitations of existing binary response models in educational and psychological research. The model employs a cumulative probit link and Bayesian variable selection to uncover latent structures, demonstrating accurate parameter recovery through Monte Carlo simulations. The methodology enhances the applicability of ordinal DMs, offering insights into latent structures in social sciences and p
