About this document
Second Wave Feminism Overview: 1963-1980s by Sophie Ortega is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Feminism is simply the belief in equality of all genders. It has gone through four waves throughout history. The first wave from 1848-1920 focused on gaining basic rights like the right to vote. The second wave from the 1960s-1980s demanded a reevaluation of gender norms and an end to sexism. The third wave from the 1990s addressed issues like sexual harassment and lack of women in leadership. The fourth wave from the present day has been driven by social media activism like the #MeToo movement.
