This study evaluates the cost-effectiveness of a law banning cellular phone use by drivers in Alberta, Canada, using a probabilistic decision-analytic model. The findings suggest that such a ban could be cost-saving, with an 80% chance of being cost-effective and a 94% chance of costing less than Can$50,000 per quality-adjusted life-year (QALY).
