This thesis examines the problems English department students at Lambung Mangkurat University experienced in writing compound-complex sentences in 2014. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through a written test given to 40 students. The results identified three main problems: difficulties with conjunctions, improper punctuation, and a lack of knowledge about compound-complex sentences.
