New strategies are continually being developed for using enzymes to efficiently catalyse the enantioselective synthesis of chiral non-racemic compounds. Alternatives to asymmetric synthesis or kinetic resolution include dynamic kinetic resolution, deracemisation and enantioconvergent transformations.
