What is OLQC and Adaptive Modulation Overview about?
- Outer Link Quality Control (OLQC) adapts channel quality information (CQI) to achieve target block error ratio for initial data block transmissions. It compensates for CQI estimation, quantization, reporting, and other errors. - OLQC works by adding/subtracting a CQI offset value to the reported CQI based on ACK/NACK feedback for initial transmissions. The offset is increased for ACK and decreased for NACK. - Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) in the downlink selects the optimal modulation and coding
