An improved family of cure cast explosives with high loading of HMX was developed. The explosives contained 88-91.5% HMX achieved through new wetting agents and mixing procedures. They had low viscosity (0.7-6.5 kPs) and excellent mechanical properties (σm=5-7 kg/cm2, εm=10-45%, E0=40-90 kg/cm2).
