What is Lawyer Advertising Ethics Guidelines about?

This document outlines rules for how lawyers may present themselves and their legal services to the public. Lawyers are prohibited from using false, misleading, undignified, or unfair statements when marketing themselves or their firm. Firm names cannot be false or assumed. A lawyer who accepts public office must withdraw from their firm and have their name removed unless allowed by law to practice concurrently. Lawyers also cannot pay for publicity to attract clients.
