What is The Boy in the Watermelon Patch about?

A boy was often bored and spent time with another boy he met in a nearby watermelon patch. This other boy loved the water but never talked about his home, and sometimes water would come out of his mouth. The boy tried to persuade his new friend to visit the bay with him to play, as it had been a long time, but his friend was afraid to go in the water. Upon learning more, the boy discovered that his new friend had actually drowned in that same bay years ago after trying to escape abuse.
