What is EN 1.4021 Stainless Steel Properties about?
Martensitic stainless steel EN 1.4021 contains 13% chromium. In its quenched and tempered condition, it exhibits high tensile strength, good corrosion resistance, and magnetism. EN 1.4021 has good resistance to air, water, steam, freshwater, and some alkaline solutions. It is commonly used for parts like shafts, fittings, spindles, stirrers, pump parts, valves, bolts, nuts, and piston rods. The steel is hardened through quenching at 1020-980°C and tempering in the 650-740°C range.
