What is ABS Performance in Low-Speed Braking about?

This study investigates the effects of low vehicle speed on the braking performance and stability of anti-lock braking systems (ABS) under different road conditions. Tests were conducted at low (30 km/h) and high (60 km/h) initial braking speeds on wet, slippery, and mixed road surfaces. The results show that low vehicle speed worsens ABS braking stability, control, and performance regardless of road conditions, due to weaker wheel speed signals and longer times for ABS to build up and reduce brake pressure
