The study investigates the use of tamarind kernel powder from various regions in Thailand as a thickening agent for disperse printing on polyester fabrics, comparing its effectiveness to commercial tamarind powder from India. Results show that the tamarind powder from India yielded the highest color strength and very good fastness properties, while the Thai samples also performed well. The research concludes that tamarind seed gum is a viable thickening agent for textile printing applications.
