Can I read Scottish Infantry Uniforms on EtoBox?

Scottish Infantry Uniforms by TartanMoon is a document available to read on EtoBox.

What is Scottish Infantry Uniforms about?

Uniform as it is now understood, did not exist in earlier times, and a soldier was recognisable only because he wore armour, or carried weapons. The first rules for such clothing appeared in Britain about 1678, and in 1689 the British red coat had acquired the characteristics it was to have. In 1727 efforts were made to ensure that regiments conformed to a universal style, and that each displayed the correct facing colour or lace pattern.
