This study investigates the impact of computational domain shapes on the aerodynamic performance of a jet fan using CFD methods in ANSYS CFX. Three domain configurations are evaluated: a fan inside a circular pipe, a fan with large inlet and outlet domains, and a fan with a bellmouth at the inlet. Results indicate that simulating the fan in a pipe leads to a 45% error in flowrate, which can be reduced to 25% with the addition of a bellmouth.
