What is SA8000 - 2026 Transition Timeline about?

The SA8000:2026 Standard for Decent Work replaces the SA8000:2014 Standard, with a transition timeline starting from June 1, 2026, where organizations can choose to recertify to either standard. By January 1, 2027, all new certifications must be to SA8000:2026, and by May 31, 2029, all organizations must be certified to the new standard to remain in the system. Organizations must complete required training and self-assessments by December 31, 2026, to facilitate the transition.
