What is Eysenck about?

Hans Eysenck proposed a theory of personality based on two dimensions: extraversion-introversion and neuroticism-stability. He believed personality types are defined by where people fall on these continua rather than rigid categories. The theory posits four types of personalities based on combinations of these dimensions: choleric, melancholic, sanguine, and phlegmatic. Eysenck also believed personality has biological roots and develops from the interaction of heredity and environment.
