Sungka is a traditional Filipino board game that was first described in 1692 by Jesuit priest Father José Sanchez in his dictionary of the Bisaya language. It is played with seashells or beads on a wooden boat-shaped board between two players, with each controlling seven holes on their side of the board and trying to accumulate pieces in their "head" area. Players take turns removing all pieces from one hole and distributing them one per hole to the right, capturing pieces from the opponent
