This study will conduct a descriptive study of patients referred from Tuvalu to the Suva Private Hospital between 2004-2010. It will describe the demography, symptoms, investigations, management, and outcomes of the patients. Variables that will be assessed include age, gender, marital status, common symptoms, medical procedures, number of admissions, length of stay, and outcome. The goal is to identify areas for improving services to better accommodate the medical needs of referred patients from Tuvalu.
