The Seattle Mariners signed right-handed pitcher Chris Flexen to a 2-year major league contract with an option for 2023. Flexen spent last season in the Korean Baseball Organization where he went 8-4 with a 3.01 ERA over 21 starts. Prior to last season, Flexen spent parts of 3 seasons with the New York Mets, going 3-11 with an 8.07 ERA over 27 games. The Mariners believe the 26-year-old Flexen is a good addition to their pitching staff as they continue building their young core.
