What is Rights of Asami in Land Law about?

An asami is the lowest tenure holder in the land tenure system, with non-permanent and non-transferable rights that are only heritable. Asami have the right to exclusive possession and use of the land for agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, pisciculture or poultry farming. They cannot sublet the land and may surrender their whole holding by notifying the appropriate authority. Upon ejectment, asami have the right to any standing crops or trees. They must pay rent as agreed upon with the landholder
