This thesis discusses the development of a software solution to manage external temperature measurements in vehicles. The software is implemented as a vehicle function (VF) according to AUTOSAR standards using model-based software design. The VF avoids overheating effects on external temperature sensors by sampling temperatures over time and applying filtering before reporting the value. The VF was tested in simulation and on real hardware to validate the software implementation.
