About this document

Supercavitating Flow CFD Modeling Insights by kishore is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This document is the final report for a project studying supercavitating flows using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. The major finding is that the primary mechanism for gas leakage from ventilated supercavities is through gaseous shear layers forming at the gas-water interface, corroborating previous theories. Shear layers appear important for twin-vortex cavities and cavities interacting with objects. Shear mechanisms also influence cavity hysteresis behavior. Insights from CFD simulations
