What is Siemens HQ: Sustainable Design in Masdar about?

Masdar City is a sustainable urban development in Abu Dhabi, UAE that incorporates numerous passive design strategies to minimize energy usage. The master plan includes diagonal streets to channel winds, green parks to direct breeze and cool winds, and narrow alleys between buildings designed with wind towers, courtyards, and overhangs to encourage air flow and natural cooling/lighting. The development aims to rely on renewable energy and reduce carbon and resource usage.
