What is Ken McElroy about?

Ken McElroy, a known troublemaker in Skidmore, Missouri, began terrorizing residents in the 1960s. Over the next two decades, he was charged multiple times with assault and attempted murder but was acquitted each time. On November 5, 1981, as McElroy and his wife were leaving a local bar where McElroy had been drinking and causing problems, they were surrounded by armed townspeople. The townspeople shot and killed McElroy, and although his murder was witnessed by many, no one was ever charged.
