This spreadsheet allows calculation of heat transfer and pressure drop in a vertical thermosiphon reboiler. It requires input of temperatures, heat transfer area and tubes length are calculated. An initial heat flux estimate is input and iteratively calculated until convergence. It also checks for maximum heat flux and absence of mist flow, and calculates pressure drop components and required liquid height for circulation.
