This document contains engineering calculations for the design of a steel connection at the stair core of a building. The calculations were performed by Ahmed Mansoor and Ismail Khonji Associates to design the connection of a cleat to a beam and columns. The calculations include checks for the shear capacity of the cleat and beam connections, bearing capacity of bolts, and shear and block shear capacities of the beam web. All capacity checks showed the design was safe based on the applied loads.
