What is WWII Shipwrecks in Gulf of Mexico Analysis about?

This document summarizes a study of World War II shipwrecks in the Gulf of Mexico and their artificial reef effect. The study was conducted by C&C Technologies under contract with the Minerals Management Service. Archaeological and biological surveys were conducted of three shipwreck sites - the tankers Virginia, Halo, and Gulfpenn. Sediment cores and samples of microbiology, invertebrate and vertebrate organisms were collected and analyzed to understand the reef communities that had formed on the shipwreck
