What is PV Array Modeling in Simulink about?

This document presents a Matlab/Simulink model of a photovoltaic (PV) array using SimPowerSystems toolbox. The model considers the PV cell as the basic building block and simulates the effect of solar irradiance and temperature on the I-V and P-V characteristics of commercial PV modules. The proposed model facilitates simulation of the dynamic performance of PV power systems. The effects of different partial shading patterns on PV arrays with different series and parallel configurations are also studied.
