What is Myopic Maculopathy and CNM Study about?
The study examined 354 eyes with degenerative myopia, focusing on choroidal neovascular membranes (CNM) and their natural history. It found that CNM is often self-limited, with 96% of eyes remaining stable or regressing over an average follow-up of 40.9 months, resulting in atrophic scars. Coin lesions, isolated macular hemorrhages without CNM, were also observed, predominantly associated with lacquer cracks.
