The study evaluated the antioxidant activity of 18 medicinal plants traditionally used in Attapady, India using the DPPH free radical scavenging assay. Trianthema decandra showed the highest antioxidant activity with a percent inhibition of 84.23%. Cassia occidentalis, Clitoria ternatea, Capparis zeylanica, Anisomeles malabarica and Plumbago zeylanica also exhibited strong antioxidant activity compared to other plants in the study.
