This document describes a student project to design a rain detecting circuit and alarm for drying clothes. The objectives are to provide an alert when rain starts and minimize wet clothes. The proposed system uses a rain sensor, piezo buzzer, resistors, transistor, and switch. When the rain sensor detects rain, a signal is sent to the buzzer to sound an alarm. Testing of the prototype circuit was completed and found to successfully detect rain and activate the alarm.
