What is Geometric Stitching Method for Multi-detector Images of Stationary Orbit Area-Array Camera about?
Most of the stationary orbit area-array camera (SOAAC) use multiple slice detectors to stitching imaging to increase the image swath. In order to improve the efficiency of data use, users are required to provide geometrically seamless stitching products. The current stitching method is difficult to apply the situation, which no overlapping area between the sub-images, and the increased distortion after stitching. Aiming at this problem, this paper proposed a geometric stitching method for the multiple slice detectors sub-images of the SOAAC, which adopts sensor corrected method. The strict geometric calibration of the orientation of multiple slice detectors are first performed. Then, an ideal undistorted area-array image based on the calibrated orientation of each slice detector. The geometric imaging model (GIM) is built for both the virtual image and the original subimages. Finally, based to the GIM, the coordinate mapping relationship between the image points of the virtual image and the original sub-images is built, and the gray value of the image points of the sub-images are assigned to the virtual image. The experimental results of the simulation data and the SOAAC data show
