## Abstract Durch Umsatz von 2,5‐Dialkoxy‐ und von 2,5‐Diacyloxydihydro‐furan mit unterchloriger oder unterbromiger Säure bzw. mit tert.‐Butylhypochlorit wurden die entsprechenden Derivate des 3‐Oxy‐4‐halogen‐tetrahydro‐furans hergestellt. Die Reduktion des 2,5‐Diäthoxy‐3‐oxy‐4‐brom‐tetrahydro‐furans führte zum 2,5‐Diäthoxy‐3‐oxy‐tetrahydro‐furan, dessen saure Hydrolyse den bisher unbekannten Äpfelsäure‐dialdehyd lieferte.
