This document summarizes a study on the biting activities of mosquitoes that can transmit filariasis in Buton District, Southeast Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. 23 mosquito species from 7 genera were collected in the study villages, with the highest numbers being Culex quinquefasciatus and Cx. vishnui. Both of these species showed exophagic behavior, being caught more often biting outdoors. The study aims to understand mosquito biting patterns to help prevent filariasis transmission in the area.
