This case report describes a 22-year-old man who presented with blunt chest trauma from a traffic accident and was found to have a traumatic lung cyst. Imaging showed a pneumothorax that resolved without treatment, and cavitary lesions that gradually decreased in size over subsequent x-rays and CT scans. Traumatic lung cysts can form after chest compression causes rupture of alveoli and small bronchi. They typically resolve spontaneously within 2-6 weeks without need for surgery unless complicated by infect
